Overview

Most Dubai itineraries are a shopping list. This one gives the first full morning to Al Fahidi, the Creek and the Deira souks — the part of the city that is two hundred years old and that almost nobody photographs — before spending anything on a viewing deck.

After that, the modern city on its own terms: the Burj Khalifa observation levels booked for the late-afternoon slot when you get both daylight and the lights coming on, the Museum of the Future, the Palm and the Marina from the water, and Dubai Frame for the split view of old and new. One evening goes to the desert at Al Lahbab — dune drive, camels, falconry and a camp dinner under the sky, back by eleven.

Day four is Abu Dhabi: ninety minutes down the E11 to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which holds around forty thousand worshippers and is free to enter with a dress code, and the Louvre Abu Dhabi under Jean Nouvel's perforated dome on Saadiyat island. Back to Dubai for the last night.

Price is land-only. International flights are not included. The UAE tourist visa is arranged by us as an optional add-on and is billed at cost — it is not in the headline price.

  1. 1Arrive Dubai — the Creek at duskDay 1
    Met at DXB and transferred to the hotel in Deira or Downtown depending on the departure. Afternoon to rest, then down to the Creek: an abra across to Bur Dubai for one dirham, and the gold and spice souks in Deira as the evening trade picks up. Dinner in Al Seef.
  2. 2Old Dubai in the morning, Burj Khalifa at duskDay 2
    A walking morning through Al Fahidi with a local guide — wind-tower houses, the coffee museum, the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and its Emirati breakfast and question session. Afternoon free at the Dubai Mall and the aquarium. Burj Khalifa levels 124 and 125 booked for the late-afternoon slot, then the fountains from the boardwalk.
  3. 3Modern Dubai, then the dunes at Al LahbabDay 3
    Museum of the Future in the morning, then Dubai Frame and the Palm monorail out to Atlantis. Picked up at three for the desert: forty-five minutes to Al Lahbab, an hour of dune driving in a 4x4, then the camp — camel ride, falconry, henna, a barbecue dinner and a folk show. Back at the hotel around eleven.
  4. 4Abu Dhabi — the Grand Mosque and the LouvreDay 4
    Ninety minutes down the coast to Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque first, in white marble with the world's largest hand-knotted carpet inside — full-length dress required and abayas are lent at the gate. Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat after lunch, then the Corniche and the Qasr Al Watan presidential palace from outside. Back in Dubai by evening.
  5. 5Marina morning, departDay 5
    A last morning at the Marina and JBR beach, or the Global Village if it is in season. Transfer to DXB. Trip ends; the airport is thirty minutes from Downtown but allow more on a Friday.

How hard is this trip, and who is it for?

How many people will be on it?
Between 2 and 16. 2 is the minimum for a departure to run and 16 is the hard cap — we do not add seats to a date that is selling well. The seat counts on the dates table are live and come straight from the booking system.
When does it run, and why not the rest of the year?
November, December, January, February and March, and the next date open for booking is 14 Nov 2026. Outside that window we do not sell the trip rather than run it badly — passes under snow, a monsoon crossing or a shut ferry are reasons to move your dates, not to take your money.
Are flights included in the price?
No. Every international price on this site is land-only: ₹52,500 per person covers the ground arrangements listed above, from the start point onward. Your international flights, visa or entry fees and travel insurance are yours to book, and they are itemised in the "Not included" column so there is no ambiguity. Book the flight after your seats are confirmed, not before.
What does an Indian passport need for Dubai?
Indian nationals need a visa arranged before travel — a 14, 30 or 60-day tourist e-visa, sponsored by the airline, hotel or a licensed agent, usually issued in three to four working days. Holders of a valid US visa or green card, or a UK or EU residence permit, can instead take a 14-day visa on arrival. Passport validity of six months required. Entry rules change without much notice, so treat this as the position at the time of writing and confirm it close to your departure — the destination page carries the full note, and the desk will tell you what the current requirement is when you book.
Can I hold seats before I pay?
Yes. Pick a date, enter who is travelling, and the seats come off the live count for 15 minutes while you decide. Nothing is charged during the hold, and if you walk away it releases itself and the seats go back on sale.
How do I pay, and what happens after?
Online at the end of the booking flow, or over the phone with the trips desk during working hours if you would rather not pay on the web. Either way you get a booking reference, and the joining pack for your departure follows from the desk.
What if I have to cancel?
There is no blanket policy printed here, because permits, mountain lodges and internal flights are paid forward at different points on different departures — and quoting a single number would be a promise we could not keep on every date. The terms that apply to your departure are in your joining pack, and the desk will put them in writing before you pay if you ask.

  • No complaints about the running of it — Burj Khalifa slot was well chosen, the Abu Dhabi day was long but properly paced, the guide in Al Fahidi was excellent. Do read the exclusions carefully: flights and the visa are genuinely not in the price, which is stated plainly but I still had to explain it to my parents twice.
