Booking one takes about four minutes

Three steps, no account required until you pay, and a person on the phone at any point in them.

Talk to the desk
  1. 1

    Pick a departure date

Every trip lists its real dates with live seat counts. Choose the one that fits — the price shown is the price for that date.

  2. 2

We hold your seats for 15 minutes

Enter who is travelling and the seats come off the count while you decide. Nothing is charged, and the hold releases itself if you walk away.

  3. 3

Pay online, or through the desk

Finish on the payment screen, or call the trips desk during working hours and pay by phone. You get a booking reference either way.

  • Our own trips, end to end

We plan the route, hire the leader and run the departure. Nothing is resold.

  • Small fixed groups

12 on the treks, 14–16 on the road trips. The cap on the page is the cap.

  • Reviews from real bookings

A review can only be written by someone who travelled on that departure.

  • Transparent ₹ pricing

One per-person figure covering the stated inclusions. No conversion, no add-ons.

Help me decide

Tell us the month you can travel and how hard you want to work. We will name two or three departures worth your time — and say so if the season is wrong.

  • One call from the trips desk, usually the same working day.
  • Answers from the people who run the departure, not a call centre.
  • No marketing list, no follow-up sequence.

We use your number only to talk about this trip. No marketing lists.

Reviews from real bookings

Only a traveller who was on the departure can leave one.

The rest day is not optional padding

Day four at Vishansar looks like a wasted day on paper and it is the reason the rest of the trek works. We had two people in the group struggling on day three who were completely fine by day five. Gangabal on the second-last night is the most beautiful campsite I have slept at anywhere in India.

Hemkund is optional and I am glad I did it

Half our group sat out day four and nobody made them feel bad about it. The climb is 1,250 m of stone steps and it is relentless, but the lake at the top with the peaks around it and the langar going is worth every one of them. Ghangaria itself is basic — that is the place, not the operator.

Driver made the trip

Tenzin drove the Gata Loops and Tanglang La like it was a residential street and still stopped every time someone wanted a photo. Sarchu at 4,290 m is a hard night for some people — ask about the Jispa variant if you know altitude bothers you. Everything else was excellent.

Worth going in the rain for

Everything I had read said go in the monsoon and I did not believe it until the valley opened up past the Pushpawati bridge. Blue poppies, brahmakamal, six kinds of thing I could not name and a guide who could. Went in the last week of July and the bloom was at its peak.

Four passes, seven lakes, no filler

Every single day delivers something. Gadsar Pass with Vishansar and Kishansar laid out behind you is the picture everyone posts, but the descent into the wildflower valley afterwards is the bit nobody warns you about. Camp food was better at 3,700 m than most places I eat at sea level.

The rest day is the whole point

We had done Leh before on a two-day dash from Manali and spent it feeling terrible. Doing it with a night at Jispa and a proper rest day in Leh was a completely different trip. Pangong at four in the afternoon was worth the drive on its own.

Questions people ask the desk

If yours is not here, the phone is answered by the same people who run the departures.

Ask the trips desk →

Can I hold seats before I pay?
Yes. Pick a date, enter who is travelling, and the seats come off the live count for 15 minutes while you decide. Nothing is charged during the hold, and if you walk away it releases itself and the seats go back.
How big are the groups?
Small, and fixed. Every trip page prints its own minimum and maximum group size, and that maximum is the cap — we do not add seats to a departure that is selling well.
What do the difficulty grades mean?
Each trip is graded Easy, Moderate, Challenging or Strenuous, and the grade sits on the card and at the top of the trip page. The real answer is the day-by-day itinerary further down that page: it lists what each day asks of you, so read it before you book.
How do I pay?
Online, at the end of the booking flow — UPI, cards, netbanking and wallets. If you would rather not pay on the web, call the trips desk during working hours and we will take it over the phone. Either way you get a booking reference.
Is the price per person, and what does it cover?
Per person, in rupees, on twin sharing unless the trip says otherwise. Every trip page carries a two-column list of exactly what is included and what is not — flights and personal expenses are usually in the second column.
The date I want is not listed.
Tell the desk the month you can travel. Some routes run on request for a group of your own, and where a date is genuinely not workable — a pass still under snow, a monsoon ferry — we will say so rather than sell you the wrong week.
What happens if I have to cancel?
There is no single blanket policy, because permits, mountain lodges and internal flights are paid forward at different points on different trips. Ask the desk before you pay and they will put the terms for that specific departure in writing.
Are the reviews real?
A review can only be written by someone who actually travelled on that departure — they are attached to bookings, not collected from the open web. That is also why there are fewer of them than you might expect.

Ready to pick a date?

90 departures are open for booking, from ₹8,900 per person.
